Designed during the final years of the Soviet Union and completed in post-Soviet Russia, the MiG 1.44 incorporated concepts intended to improve maneuverability, speed, and survivability while providing a platform for testing advanced aerodynamic and avionics technologies. This 1/35 scale model has been test built and features moving control surfaces, including canards. This beautiful, large late-Cold War fighter aircraft is an incredible "what if" and was the USSR and later Russia's first foray into 5th Generation aircraft.
